Today is life-the only life you are sure of. Make the most of today. Get interested in something. Shake yourself awake. Develop a hobby. Let the winds of enthusiasm sweep through you. Live today with gusto. -Dale Carnegie
Last August 12, I was lucky enough to be in the workshop (her 3rd time) of my good friend Kristen Ramos who is by the way, the proprietress of The Adventure Awaits Workshop and Invitations by Ten.
Before we start, let me just tell you guys who Kristen Ramos is…
Ten at the Common Space, BF Parañaque
Kristen Ramos, called by many as “Ten”, graduated Fine Arts major in Advertising in UST (one of the prestigious schools here in the Philippines).
She used to work as a graphic designer in Alabang for eight long years. Growing up with a passion in arts, she decided to put up a mini business– Tentee (a customized hand paint t-shirts and bags) while working but didn’t last. Then last year, she started to make invitations, mostly for her close friends and soon enough Invitations by Ten happened. When she began to earn more than her corporate job, she left and focussed on her business.
More and more people believe in her capabilities to create exquisite invitations. The good thing when you deal with her is that she really wants to get to know your personality so she can understand your desire and point out suggestions that suit you. She makes sure that she’s in line with what the client wants, the theme and everything. She is very thorough in details.

Driven by the success of her passion, she made her first Basic Brush Pen Calligraphy + Design Flourishing Workbook and started her first ever Calligraphy workshop last July in Common Space, BF Parañaque!

Common Space in BF Parañaque, where Kristen usually stays to work away from distractions, is a coworking space with a real office ambiance(less the stress) and backed up by a high-speed internet. This is also a place wherein you can get acquainted with other people. Here, Kristen meets most of her clients, the same reason why she decided to organize the maiden workshop in this establishment. You can also rent their conference room to hold meetings or workshops (check out more about their rates on their website).
Right after you enter the Common Space where the workshop was held, you’ll see some of her Calligraphy artwork display…
Her workshop only cost P1,500 and it includes the Adventure Awaits Workbook + 2 Platinum Brush Pens, Quotes Challenge Pad, and loot bags! You can also have a one on one session with her for only P1,200 and it also includes everything(including the surprise loot bag.)
Regularly, participants of her workshop consist of 6 to 8 people so she could attend to everyone.

The attendees were very excited to check out their loot bags!
I was not able to resist myself from buying the Adventure Awaits Workbook so I can practice more my Calligraphy art at home. You can purchase her workbook for only P350 included with a Platinum Brush Pen or P400 with additional two Platinum Brush Pens (It’s all worth it!). To order, you can check out her page for more details.
She also partnered some events wherein she sponsored her workbooks like the Game Plan for Success by Launch Pad Alabang, Craft n Plan at Festival Mall last August 19. She also tends to sponsor on the upcoming Freelance Fair by Manila Workshops on September 2. There will be some exciting raffle prizes from Invitations by Ten. (check out more on her page and at manila workshop)
