No one wants to prepare this kind of bag because it means it is really happening, but we need to be strong and be prepared.
As promised, I’ve listed the things needed to put in your Survival bag. This information came from Red Cross Ph itself and I just added a little bit which I think is necessary for a disaster.
Things needed: (at least 3- 5 days consumption)

Basic Necessity:
Water- for drinking & washing
Food- canned goods (preferably easy to open), crackers, granola bars
Emergency tools/ gear:
Plastic laminated id cards -(indicate your name, birthday, address, contact number, conditions, allergies, medication, blood type, height, weight, and contact details of who to call in case of emergency)
Emergency numbers to call (Red cross, fire dept, etc and contact numbers of family members)
Flashlight with glow stick and/ Emergency light
Batteries (if rechargeable batteries, make sure to charge it from time to time)
Multi- purpose knife
AM Radio Transistor (ace hardware/ maybe electronics boutique)
Plastic sheeting/ garbage bag (for floor mats, cover items)
Mask (preferrable N95)
Goggles (not necessary; to protect your eyes from the dust)
Heating Blankets
Ropes (avoid nylon)
Sleeping bag
Boots/ emergency shoes
Bandana/ scarf

LifeGear Flashlight + Glow Stick + Whistle Bought it before long time ago in Wilcon, Alabang (I hope they still have it!)
Personal & hygiene kit:
Extra clothing (preferably long comforting pants and t-shirt)
Undergarments
Antibacterial soap
Toothbrush & toothpaste/ Gargle
Hand Towels (super absorbent)
Alcohol
Tissue
Wet wipes
Sanitary napkin
Important Documents (photocopy & save in USB) & Money
Keep these in a plastic envelope
Money should be in the form of cash & loose change
List of Important Information (SSS, TIN, Drivers’ license, Passport Number, Bank Acct. details, Insurance Policy, etc.)
Important legal documents: Birth certificate, marriage contract, land titles, insurance cert., etc.
Other important documents: Vaccination records, medical records, etc.
Special Needs: (Of elderly, children, infant or sick member of the family)
Emergency medication (Ibuprofen, anti- diarrheal, for cough and colds, children’s medication, etc.)
Prescription medication
Children’s food

Hydrite (like Gatorade in sachet to be mix with water)
Biogesic/ Advil
Diatabs
Amoxicillin (antibiotic)

Calmoseptine (can be used to treat minor cuts, scrapes & also burns)

Reminders:
1. It’s highly recommended to use backpacks with good supporting shoulder straps and that are sturdy.
2. If possible, wear comfortable long clothes and comfortable rubber shoes. (In case you need to run)
3. Always keep your emergency bag handy at all times. (at home and in your car)
4. Always bring a whistle and a flashlight (like LifeGear- very lightweight & easy to carry)
5. Always update your emergency bag to avoid expired medicines & food (charge batteries/ change, charge emergency light, update new medicines, canned goods & water)
